About Us - MSS Landscaping LLC
At MSS Landscaping LLC, we bring over 21 years of expertise in professional landscaping, ground maintenance, and hardscaping to homeowners and businesses throughout Allegheny County, PA. Founded and operated by Matt Schellhaas, our company is built on a strong foundation of hard work, dedication, and a passion for taking care of our clients needs.
A Legacy of Outdoor Craftsmanship
Matt’s journey in the landscaping industry began at an early age, working for Peters Lawn Care for a summer job. After graduating high school Matt became the foreman for 5 years until the owner had an illness and forwarded the customer list to continue servicing them. In 2019 he started MSS Landscaping with only 15 customers. In 2025 this will be Matt's 21st year working in the landscape industry.
Matt has also been working alongside his brother Mike, a master hardscape contractor. From pouring concrete to mowing and maintaining lawns, building retaining walls, and installing irrigation systems, Matt developed a deep understanding of outdoor construction and landscape management. Through hands-on experience, he learned the importance of quality craftsmanship and getting the job done right the first time.
